For the past 25 years, Behaviour Innovations has provided applied behaviour analysis (ABA) services to children, and youth with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disability along with their families. Services are supervised by professional behaviour analysts and delivered by front-line staff within families homes, schools and/or in community settings.
We are looking for a caring, passionate, organized person to join our team in the Fort Frances and the surrounding area of North Western Ontario.
The individual would work under the supervision of qualified professionals who will provide the necessary training and supervision.
Position Type: Part-time.
Availability. Shifts are typically 3-4 hours long per client session.
Settings: Inside family homes, schools, community setting.

Location:

  • Fort Frances

Responsibilities:

  • Providing individualized supports to children with autism spectrum disorder for minimum of 6 hours a week to a maximum of 15 hours a week, based on your availability.
  • Implementing client specific teaching methods based on principles of ABA and other evidence-based practices to help teach skills in a number of areas (e.g., academic, language, social, self-care, motor, etc).
  • Collect, manage and analyze client data and daily documentation relevant to the clients’ specific programs and goals; participate/contribute to case coordination and multi-disciplinary service dialogue.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Post-secondary education (college or university) in a relevant discipline (e.g., psychology, behavioural sciences) or CYW, SSW, PSW, ECE, DSW diploma. Those working toward completion of education will be considered. Those who have graduated from high school only will be considered if they have experience.
  • A minimum of 1 full year of experience working with children or youth, preferably those with complex needs. Experience implementing ABA an asset.
  • Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, strong organizational abilities. Self-motivated, high energy and enthusiastic individuals are preferred.
  • Access to a vehicle is necessary as some travel may be required.
  • Applicants must submit a current or recent Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC).

Wages are competitive and will be determined by qualifications and experience
