KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Build strong partnerships with Stars staff, consumers and community service agencies
  • Basic computer software such as: word, excel and PowerPoint
  • Writing, finding, saving and printing documents such as progress reports.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA compliance policies.
  • Complete administrative paperwork including, but not limited to: monthly schedules, mileage, etc.
  • Ability to develop objectives
  • Use resources efficiently and wisely
  • Work flexible hours to meet program requirements
  • Willing to commute to various areas in San Diego county

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master’s Degree in psychology, education, child development, or related field
  • 5 years of experience in field related to area of specialty
  • Trained in Natural Environment Teaching (NET) required
  • Trained in the following preferred: Discrete Trial Training (DTT), Pivotal Response
  • Training (PRT), Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Treatment and
  • Education of Autism and Related Communication Handicap (TEACCH), and Social Stories
  • Certificates preferred include: Pivotal Response Training, Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
  • Complete Stars Therapy Services Early Intervention Training Program
  • Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • CPR and First Aid certification (preferred)
  • Ability to pass background check
  • Must be available to work fulltime with occasional Saturdays based on program needs

Responsibilities
  • Case manages consumers receiving ABA Services
  • Conduct assessments and compose reports using the Development Assessment of Young Children (DAYC2) and Hawaii Early Learning Profile (HELP):
  • Performs parent education sessions
  • Performs supervision
  • Composes initial, progress and exit reports and creates/monitors data sheet
  • Develop goals based on a child’s development and have the ability to make clinical referrals for developmental and/or behavioral services
  • Performs direct Early Intervention Services (including Intensive Services, ABA, Bx Consult and Project ImPACT) with a caseload of children and their families, following Stars Therapy procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with regulations and timelines in all aspects of the services including but not limited to the following:
  • Implementation of goals and objectives on IFSP in a variety of community settings
  • Utilizing developmentally appropriate and effective practices.
  • Maintain accurate paperwork documentation and records of client files.
  • Demonstration of a familycentered philosophy, and respect for cultural diversity.
  • Responsible for supervision and training of field staff, specifically with training and monitoring the implementation of consumer programs
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings, training and inservices for Stars Therapy Services
  • Other duties as assigned based on company needs
