The Wasserstrom Company is the leading Food Service Distributor in the nation. Established in 1902, we are a family-owned company with our corporate headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.  We have a current opening for an ABAP Developer in our Information Services Department at our corporate office.    This ABAP Developer is responsible for authoring technical specifications, developing and enhancing SAP applications, and planning and conducting related testing within the Warehouse Management, Sales and Distribution, and Finance functional areas. * Utilize the ABAP workbench for writing new and modifying existing ABAP and List Viewer (ALV) reports, user exits, Business Add-Ins (BADI’s), Business Application Programming Interface (BAPI), Intermediate Documents (IDOC’s) and dialogue programs. Perform workflow programming, develop test strategy, create test data, and run tests to ensure business continuity; resolve performance issues, and write technical specifications from functional design specifications.  * Must have a complete understanding of system design and how it supports Company business in addition to a strong understanding of core business processes.  * Will be working other developers and business analysts to prepare test plans and/or detailed technical specifications from which programs will be written, and upgrade/enhance the SAP application. Will be handling small/medium projects starting with requirement gathering, feasibility study, development, implementation and post-production support.
