The ABF Accountant will be a champion of ABF within the organisation providing learning and understanding to Managers and Directorates.
The ABF Accountant will work as part of the senior finance team to record, analyse and allocate cost to the individual services provided and to the cost of each individual episode of patient care (e.g. medications, procedures, tests, accommodation, etc). This will require an ability to understand the information available from a number of separate systems and work with Finance Department, IT, HIPE, Clinicians and, Departmental Managers to develop an effective and reliable solution.
They will establish an appropriate costing function for the Hospital for ABF purposes. They will validate and provide Financial/ABF Reporting and Management information by assembling and summarising data, preparing reports/data, and making presentation of findings and recommendations on a timely basis to a consistently high standard and in the required format.
