THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a committed and community-focused Aboriginal Community Engagement Officer to join our Inklings team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that Aboriginal families can engage confidently and equitably with the Inklings program — a research initiative focused on early intervention for young children showing signs of developmental delay.

  • Building and maintaining respectful relationships with Aboriginal communities, Elders, and families.
  • Supporting Aboriginal families during intake and exit from the Inklings program.
  • Advocating for families and assisting practitioners in delivering culturally safe and respectful services
  • Representing the program at forums, events, and community meetings.
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders and the broader community to raise awareness and promote understanding of the program.

This is a part-time position (0.2 – 0.4 FTE) offered on a casual basis through to November 2026.
