Job Description:

YOUR NEW TEAM:

Orygen Specialist Program, a program of the Royal Melbourne Hospital, provides mental health services to young people aged 12 to 25 and their families/carers in Melbourne’s northwest and western suburbs.
Your new role:
An identified role for an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person.
You will be joining our vibrant multidisciplinary team, working to build partnership between ACCHOs and ACCOs and Orygen specialist program, and to improve the recovery journeys of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people and their families.

You will:

  • Work with Orygen specialist program clinical teams, to improve cultural safety in the mental healthcare of young people accessing Orygen specialist program
  • Support young people and their families to engage in mental health assessment and treatment planning
  • Work with other identified staff across Orygen specialist program, to develop strategies for improving cultural safety in mental healthcare
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with ACCHOs and ACCOs across Melbourne’s northwest and west to improve pathways between services, for young people seeking support for their mental health
