Description
Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the A/C Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance, repair, installation and operation of all air conditioning units and equipment. Performs other duties as may be assigned.Functions in accordance with duties defined in the job description as an A/C Mechanic. May be assigned to work at any HHS site. 1.Current Province of Ontario Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Certificate of Qualification 2. Must hold a Province of Ontario "Ozone Depletion" certificate 3. Minimum of five years as a qualified Tradesperson 4. Demonstrated experience in the maintenance, repair and installation of all types of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment 5. Demonstrated ability to use the tools and equipment of the trade 6. Demonstrated ability to follow verbal and written instructions 7. Demonstrated ability to bend, crawl, lift heavy items, climb and work from ladders and scaffolding 8. Demonstrated ability and willingness to work in areas that are cold, hot, dusty, dirty, noisy, amongst machinery, at elevated levels and have cramped quarters 9. Must be willing to provide own hand tools of the trade 10. Gas Fitter II License preferred 11. Sheet metal experience is an asset
