As a General Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our facility's operations, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our guests and staff. Perform routine maintenance checks on various systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and kitchen equipment. Troubleshoot and repair issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure optimal functionality. Assist in the installation, setup, and calibration of new equipment and systems as needed. Conduct regular inspections and implement necessary safety measures to comply with regulations and prevent accidents. Respond efficiently to emergency maintenance requests, working under pressure to resolve issues in a timely manner. Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all technical systems and equipment. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment performance. Provide technical support and guidance to staff members, offering training on equipment operation and basic troubleshooting techniques. Interact professionally with guests when responding to maintenance requests in rooms or public areas. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth facility operations and guest satisfaction. Qualifications Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems commonly found in commercial facilities. Proven experience in performing routine maintenance tasks and inspections in a similar role. Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols governing facility operations. Demonstrated ability to install, configure, and calibrate various equipment and systems according to manufacturer specifications. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions. Strong communication skills to interact professionally with staff, guests, and external contractors. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities. Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Physical capability to lift heavy equipment and work in various positions (standing, kneeling, climbing ladders, etc.). Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication purposes.
