Job Description The A/C Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing all air-conditioning and refrigeration systems throughout the resort. This includes guest villas, restaurants, public areas, and back-of-house facilities, ensuring all systems operate efficiently, safely, and in accordance with resort standards. 1. Maintenance & Repair Perform regular inspection, preventive maintenance, and repair of air-conditioning and refrigeration systems. Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, including split units, VRF systems, chillers, walk-in coolers, freezers, and cold rooms. Check and maintain refrigerant levels, compressor functionality, and thermostatic controls. Replace or repair defective parts such as motors, compressors, and condensers. Clean filters, coils, and other components to ensure efficient operation. 2. Installation & Commissioning Install new A/C systems and components as required for guest villas, staff accommodation, or public facilities. Ensure all installations are carried out safely and meet technical and brand standards. Calibrate thermostats and control systems for optimal temperature regulation. 3. Energy Efficiency & Safety Monitor and maintain energy-efficient performance of all air-conditioning and refrigeration systems. Report and fix any leaks, abnormal noises, or electrical issues immediately. Follow all safety and environmental procedures for handling refrigerants and electrical components. Ensure compliance with resort and government safety regulations. 4. Coordination & Communication Respond promptly to maintenance requests from various departments and guest areas. Coordinate with the Engineering team for timely completion of work orders. Assist in planning and execution of preventive maintenance schedules. Maintain good communication with supervisors regarding equipment status and repair needs. Qualifications 2 to 3 years’ experience in a similar role in a five-star luxury Hotel / Resort. Must have the appropriate documented training from a technical/vocational institute. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics. Able to communicate in English. Team Player Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and public holiday
