The Opportunity: The AC Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems throughout the country club’s facilities, including guest areas, kitchens, locker rooms, offices, and event spaces. The technician ensures that all HVAC systems operate efficiently and meet safety and comfort standards, contributing to an exceptional member and guest experience. Duties and Functions Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC equipment, including air handlers, compressors, chillers, condensers, and thermostats. Inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose HVAC malfunctions in a timely manner. Maintain records of all maintenance and repair work performed. Adjust and calibrate thermostats, airflow, and system controls for optimal performance. Respond promptly to maintenance service requests and emergency calls. Monitor HVAC system performance and recommend upgrades or replacements when needed. Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. Assist with other general maintenance tasks as required. Collaborate with other maintenance staff to support overall facility operations. Qualification Standards High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in HVAC preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in HVAC repair and maintenance. Valid HVAC certification and EPA refrigerant handling certification. Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems related to HVAC. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and wiring diagrams. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces, on ladders, or outdoors as needed. Flexible schedule, including availability for weekends, holidays, and emergency calls.
