Overview Loving first-time parents in West New York, NJ are seeking a long-term, live-out infant career nanny to care for their 3-month-old baby girl. They are currently practicing elimination communication (EC), and ideally, the candidate will have some experience and knowledge of the process or be willing to learn and be supportive. The family hopes to grow in the future and is looking for a candidate who is excited to remain with them as the role naturally evolves over time. Both parents work from home, so the nanny must be comfortable and experienced working within a home-based work environment. This is a collaborative household with both parents being hands-on. The general schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This is a local search, and only candidates already residing in the area will be considered. Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to: All aspects of full-charge infant care, including feeding, diapering (EC), bathing, sleep routine, and always ensuring the safety and well-being of the child Take the lead on EC, diapering, soothing for bedtime, and scheduling Support sleep, meal routines, and food transitions Engaging the child in age-appropriate play such as reading, singing, object tracking, sensory activities, and tummy time Engage in outdoor activities, walks, and neighborhood exploration Track developmental milestones and communicate progress to parents – Keep a nanny log Child-related housekeeping, laundry, toy sanitation, and sterilization of bottles and pump parts Organization of the child’s room, spaces, and belongings – Keep areas tidy Keep an inventory of supplies for the nursery and restock Adhere to schedules and make appropriate adjustments Stay informed about child development and safety practices Create an environment for the child to grow and thrive Qualifications Warm, kind, and nurturing Collaborative and communicative Proactive and engaging Intuitive and thoughtful Possess a true passion for children and their development Trustworthy, dependable, and professional Self-aware and observant Organized and mindful Adaptable, fun, and creative Works with discretion Ability to speak Chinese or Spanish would be a plus Requirements 5+ years of prior experience in a similar role with an infant, including sole charge care Open to working the occasional evening - some overtime Infant CPR certified Willing to practice EC Comfortable with work-from-home parents Up-to-date vaccinations, flu, and Tdap Legal to work in the U.S Salary and Benefits The family is offering $45 to $55 per hour commensurate with experience, 4 weeks PTO, and negotiable medical benefits
