Overview A warm and loving family in Miami Beach, FL, is seeking a full-time temporary Nanny to care for their two children, an 8-month-old boy and a 3-year-old girl. The older child attends school for a few hours each weekday. While the family prefers a full-time schedule, they are open to part-time support for the right candidate. This position will begin in January 2026 and continue through April 2026, at which point the family will be relocating to New York. The general schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with some flexibility to start and finish later on a couple of days each week, or occasionally on a weekend day. The ideal candidate has substantial experience with infants and toddlers, brings a calm, nurturing presence, and works well alongside parents who work from home or stay at home. Local candidates only, please. Looking to hire ASAP. Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to: Always ensuring the safety and well-being of the children Full-charge infant /childcare, including diapering, meal plan/prep feeding, sleep routine, and bathing Engaging the children in educational, age-appropriate play such as reading, singing, supporting crawling and walking Child-related housekeeping, laundry, dishes, tidying, and organization of children’s spaces Track developmental milestones and communicate progress to parents Keep an inventory of supplies for the nursery and notify parents when items need replenishing Adhere to schedules and make appropriate adjustments Communicate clearly and work collaboratively with parents Encourage language development Teach and reinforce structure and boundaries while supporting independence Provide positive, daily, enriching, and academic experiences for each child Qualifications Warm, caring, and collaborative Truly passionate about children and their care Trustworthy, dependable, and professional Proactive and confident with good judgment Gracefully follow parental guidelines and contribute ideas Organized and communicative Creative and fun with a calm presence Requirements Prior experience in a similar role with an infant and toddler Strong knowledge of infants’ and toddlers’ needs Comfortable with work-from-home parents CPR/First Aid certified or willing to get Must be comfortable learning how to use an Epi Pen – Older child has allergies Up to date on vaccinations, flu, and Tdap Must be able to commit to the entire term of January through April A degree in early childhood education would be a plus Legal to work in the U.S. Salary and Benefits The family is offering $40 to $45 per hour, commensurate with experience.
