JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking an organized and proactive Academic Advisor/Admissions Coordinator to join our team on a part-time, hybrid basis. In this role, you will provide support to prospective and current students, guiding them through the admissions process and advising them on academic programs and course selections. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a passion for student success, and a deep understanding of educational programs and admissions processes.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Proven experience in academic advising, student services, or a related field.
· Strong knowledge of college admissions procedures and academic program requirements.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with students effectively.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
· Proficient with student management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- D2L (Brightspace): Experienced in using D2L for student enrollment, tracking academic progress, and generating administrative reports.

Responsibilities

· Admissions Support: Manage the admissions process for new and returning students, including reviewing applications, conducting interviews, and ensuring all documentation is complete.
· Academic Advising: Provide personalized academic counseling to students, helping them select courses, plan their education path, and address any academic concerns.
· Student Records Management: Maintain accurate student records and databases, ensuring compliance with institutional policies and regulations. Proficient in using D2L (Desire2Learn) for student enrollment, progress tracking, and administrative reporting.
· Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective students, answering inquiries, providing program information, and offering guidance on enrollment and financial aid options.
· Program Promotion: Assist with the promotion of academic programs through events, webinars, and outreach to potential applicants.
· Reporting and Analytics: Monitor application trends, track enrollment data, and generate reports for internal use and program improvement.
.Content creating: Create engaging multimedia content for social media and the website, including photos, videos, and interviews to highlight student life and campus events.
