The Academic Counselor & University Guidance Coordinator is responsible for providing academic advising, educational planning, and student support to help students make informed decisions regarding their secondary and higher education pathways. The role supports students throughout their academic journey by offering guidance on subject selection, university admissions, educational opportunities, and academic success strategies. The position also serves as a liaison between the school and higher education institutions, coordinating university visits and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of academic programs and admission requirements.

• Provide academic counseling and guidance to students regarding educational pathways, subject selection, and study options.
• Support students in choosing appropriate secondary school courses and university programs based on their interests, strengths, and career aspirations.
• Develop and monitor individualized academic plans to help students achieve their educational goals.
• Advise students and parents on university admissions requirements, application procedures, enrollment processes, and scholarship opportunities.
• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address academic concerns and educational planning needs.
• Monitor students’ academic progress and provide recommendations and intervention strategies where necessary.
• Coordinate and organize university visits, education fairs, career exploration events, and higher education awareness activities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with universities, colleges, and educational institutions to stay informed about academic programs, admission requirements, and recruitment opportunities.
• Arrange presentations, workshops, and information sessions with university representatives for students and parents.
• Guide students through university application, admission, and enrollment processes, ensuring deadlines and requirements are met.
• Research and communicate local and international higher education opportunities, academic pathways, and scholarship programs.
• Collaborate with school leadership, teachers, parents, and external educational partners to support student success.
• Maintain accurate student records, counseling documentation, and university guidance reports.
• Stay informed about educational trends, curriculum developments, and higher education opportunities to provide current and relevant advice.
