Job Knowledge and Requirements
Acts as the first point of contact and resource, responds to inquiries and informs students and faculty on matters of academic integrity including regulations, processes, responsibilities, findings, appeals, and appropriate sanctions.

Oversees the coordination of investigations including preparing case files, drafting chronologies, and briefing notes, verifying facts, obtaining accounts of events, compiling supporting data, and conducting initial assessments of new cases.

Develops and recommends best practices for emerging issues related to Departure from Academic Integrity (DFAI), such as the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) .

Researches, interprets, and compiles practices for emerging issues such as AI and DFAI at peer institutions and recommends changes to policy and procedures.

Acts as representative for the Faculty and participates on the university-wide committees related to academic integrity, appeals or other academic matters.

Approves student academic requests such as appeals, waivers, registration changes, or similar submissions; for complex requests, interprets, researches, and prepares recommendations for senior leaders.

Reviews documentation, precedents, and policy, researches, interprets, and uses comparators to recommend sanction for senior leaders’ approval.

Registers, updates, and tracks departures from academic integrity in databases and prepares statistical reports.

Provides administrative support for appeals for academic integrity findings, including decision letters, briefing notes, and press releases.

Tracks open appeals and updates transcripts upon decisions.

Updates information on department websites.

- Provides academic advising.
- Oversees requests for special and/or confidential exams.
- Collates exam incident reports and liaises with instructors on next steps.
- Other duties as required in support of the department and/or unit.
