OVERVIEW

Francis James is a new independent higher education provider, offering degree programmes in construction. We are looking for an academic quality manager to develop and implement procedures that ensure the quality of our online delivery model.

Our academic quality manager will:

• Monitor teaching and assessment including observations and sampling of assessment, and provide feedback to colleagues
• Lead standardisation and moderation activities with assessors/markers
• Engage with external examiners
• Maintain records of quality assurance activities and outcomes
• Develop reports on quality for institution committees, and support the running of academic committees

The successful candidate will have experience of delivering quality assurance activities in education, preferably higher education. Ideally they will have experience in construction.
We are happy to receive applications for part time (3 or 4 days/week) or full time employment in this role; salary guide provided is for a full time role. The successful candidate will be able to mostly work from home, with occasional attendance at our office in Bedford for meetings.
