The Registry is a key central administrative unit of the University supporting it in providing quality higher education. We administer and deliver a broad range of student and academic services, such as admissions, registration, quality assurance, class scheduling, examinations, and graduation. The Registry is also responsible for maintaining student records and providing secretarial support to Senate and its committees, and are integral in the governing of academic regulations of the University. We provide aspiring candidates with ample staff development opportunities and a promising career in higher education. We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the Registry: Major Duties and Responsibilities The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following: Providing administrative support to the day-to-day operation of the Registry, including class scheduling and tutors matters; Performing efficient administrative duties, such as preparing class scheduling data, scheduling for programmes/courses, venue booking and liaison with internal departments; Providing effective student services including handling enquiries and processing applications; Assisting supervisor(s) in system enhancement and streamlining of operation; Assisting supervisor(s) in preparation of statistical reports, webpage maintenance and student system maintenance; Providing efficient clerical support, including but not limited to administrative tasks such as data entry, records handling, and operational logistics support; Performing any other duties as assigned by supervisors. Candidates Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence: A recognized degree with at least 1 year’s relevant post-qualification administrative experience; Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills; Proficient computer skills including MS Office with a preference for strong Excel abilities, and Chinese word processing; Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (preferably including Putonghua); Capable of multitasking, attentive to detail, and able to work under pressure; A good team player with a strong sense of responsibility and motivation; and Work outside office hours may be required.
