MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Masters Degree and a minimum of 2-3 years experience in administrative management or operations

  • Experience in a college level environment within student services/programs with student organization and leadership or a related field.

Responsibilities

40% Operations

  • Provide strong leadership while supervising the manager for fiscal & HR, Program Operation Specialist, Coordinator for Events and Operations, 6 theatre student technicians and 2 communications student positions.
  • Provide leadership, management, and oversight for the Center & Theatre reservations, events & operations including develop and oversee the implementation of policies of facility usage and reservations .
  • Provide leadership in the counseling and guidance of venue usage, meetings, event planning and resources for 125 affiliated student organizations, university departments and off-campus community (id Tech Camp, Brains & Motion summer camp etc..).
  • Develop and maintain space and equipment utilization plans.
  • Serve as liaison to UW Facility Services to best support and maintain facilities.
  • Provide leadership in developing goals, objectives and direction for the Ethnic Cultural Theatre.

30% Budget & Finance

  • Develop, oversee, and reconcile departmental operating program budgets including credit card processing and invoicing practices and policies.
  • Work to increase revenue generation and oversee purchasing policies and approvals. Review income and expense reports and develop changes and adjustments as necessary. Provide oversight of student organization budgets (i.e. Spring Pow Wow, Welcome Daze) Collaborate and develop proposal for the Services and Activities Fee Committee.
  • Working with the Program Manager of Fiscal & HR Operations, coordinate and collaborate with OMA&D Fiscal and HR services to ensure compliance and accuracy on all related matters.

10% Marketing & Communications

  • Manage the student creative team on all creative and communication projects
  • Provide leadership when it comes to best marketing and communication practices for utilizing various media outlets and disseminating information to target audiences
  • Develop and coordinate marketing efforts to align with brand guidelines of the UW, OMA&D and the Kelly ECC Lead efforts to ensure that all media efforts are ADA compliant and accessible

10% Executive Leadership

  • Member of the Director’s executive leadership team engaged in unit-wide decision making regarding strategic planning, budgeting ($1.6M budget), and policy development/interpretation/enforcement
  • Responsible for all Operational sub-units and associated staff under events and operations, fiscal & human resources, marketing & communications, and theatre

5% Technology

  • Provide management and strategic planning on technological resources supporting student success and learning within the center &Theatre
  • Improve and maintain technology solutions that best support the work of the staff and the daily operations of the center & Theatre
