The Library, Careers and Enterprise at the University of Salford is seeking to recruit an Academic Skills Consultant (Writing) to develop, co-ordinate and deliver an equitable and future-facing writing support service that makes a real difference for our students.
Do you have excellent writing skills with experience of teaching writing and other academic skills? Are you also great at communicating and collaborating across team boundaries to realise strategic priorities? And are you a highly motivated, innovative, and critically reflective practitioner, looking for an opportunity to implement your own ideas and make a measurable impact? If so, then this role could be for you.
We value originality and personal effort in all applications. Therefore, we kindly ask candidates to ensure that their application answers are written by themselves and not generated by AI tools.
In this role, you will develop students’ skills by delivering active, inclusive and impactful writing support through workshops, 1:1 tutorials, and digital content. You’ll also contribute to curriculum development and evolve the model for writing support considering University priorities, changing student behaviours and technological advances.
