This is a rare opening for an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional looking to make a positive impact in the field of early childhood education. Your Responsibilities as

Director Include:

  • Knowledge and understanding of, and the ability to follow and implement the Academy’s vision and mission each day
  • Overall responsibilities for managing and overseeing all aspects of the Academy, including health and safety, enrollment and financial wellness, staffing, training and retention, site management, and delivery of high-quality education and care
  • Maintain strong relationships with our families, staff, students, and vendors
  • Cultivate and maintain a safe and enjoyable culture while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to perform all essential functions for each position in the Academy, including, but not limited to, other Leadership Team positions, Teacher, Food Service, etc.
  • Maintain compliance with Minnesota’s Department of Human Services Early Child Care Center laws, policies, and requirements (Rule 3)
  • Knowledge of child safety requirements and be up-to-date on first aid and other medical conditions; meet monthly with Health Consultant
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, showing confidence in speaking with and taking prospective parents on tour, writing newsletters, and running staff meetings
  • Keep staff motivated and resolve conflicts professionally, fairly, and with Early Childhood Academy’s vision and mission.
  • Oversee payroll, ACH and tuition billing, county pay, and scholarships
  • Manage and coordinate curricula with staff that complies with state and federal requirements in and Parent Aware accreditation standards
  • Evaluate and purchase materials, equipment, and supplies
  • Complete ongoing training and courses to remain up to date on MN childcare standards and procedures.
  • Work in collaboration with the Executives to manage and oversee the budget and accounts
  • Facilitate and execute the marketing and communications plan
  • Comfortable and efficiently using technically including on-site communication app (Child Pilot), Microsoft 360, Teams, and Outlook email
  • Implement professional development for employees and run staff meetings
  • Meet with Executive Team on a regularly scheduled basis and implement action steps

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of Director or Assistant Director experience in a licensed child care facility
  • 3-5 years of Early Childcare Teacher experience in a licensed Childcare Center
  • Strong experience in state licensing regulations, staffing, enrollment, and budget management
  • Demonstrated highly effective organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
  • Demonstrated responsibilities in overseeing all childcare operations, including human resources, quality assurance, and facility operations
  • Strong commitment to building positive relationships with families and the community *
  • Preferred*: Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, Primary Education, or in a related field
