JOB SUMMARY:

Skillnet have been successfully training and recruiting apprentices since 1998 and are now one of the UK’s largest providers of Apprenticeships to the automotive industry. We operate nationally and offer a full range of recruitment and training services to employers and employees. Each year we recruit and train thousands of people, from school-leavers to experienced staff in exciting Apprenticeships with some of the best-known brands in the country.
As the DAF Receptionist, you will be responsible for all facilities responsibilities such as maintaining the cleanliness and stock of the centre. You will welcome learners, employers, internal staff and customers into the building ensuring they are following the correct regulations in place.
Within this role, you will ensure our learners, customers, subcontractors and colleagues are supported professionally and in a timely and efficient manner.
Meet the operational and financial requirements of the business by providing assistance, guidance, advice, or taking appropriate action to effectively resolve issues and ensure that appropriate performance levels are being met at all times.

FULL TRAINING FOR THE BELOW WILL BE PROVIDED:

  • Carry out reception and facility duties
  • Carry out learner duty of care calls.
  • Weekly college and virtual learning teaching registers.
  • Updating customer databases where and when required.
  • Process stationery/ facilities orders.
  • Allocate college wear to new learners.
  • Collate weekly and monthly lunch numbers.
  • Maintain centre records for audit including but not limited too – fire logs, first aid logs.
  • Issue ID cards and lanyards to external contacts and learners.
  • Be aware of all policies and procedures of keeping the building safe.
  • There will be a requirement for the individual to complete first aid and fire marshall training for the centre and to become a fire marshall and first aider.
  • Supporting the Centre Manager with any other centre needs when and where required

  • By establishing an induction training programme that includes detailed Safeguarding and Prevent modules for both learners and staff.
  • To adhere to IT security policies and practices and review regularly to encourage safe working practices for all.
  • To keep colleagues well-informed with updates about Safeguarding and Prevent delivered through frequent 121’s, team meetings and hot topics.
  • Confidentiality – we will only share private and sensitive information about a learner when it is in the best interests to do so, e.g. if there is a Safeguarding concern.
