The Access Control and Security Technician is an integral part of the IT team. Working closely with the Infrastructure Manager, this position will assist in reviewing low voltage, plans, ensure that existing Access and Security systems are stable and available, program existing system, assist with system integrations and provide break/fix support for new and existing installations. This position will also provide solutions and outstanding IT service and support for the organization. Pay Details: $68,000-$83,000K/year Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm Job Responsibilities Design, develop, and review changes for access control and cameras/security plans. Analyze and test access control systems on a quarterly basis to identify needs for additions, upgrades, and repairs. Establish and manage vendor relationships related to low voltage work and devices related to the physical security of properties. Works with Construction teams and outside vendors to ensure needs of DevCo are being met. Responsible for the day-to-day programming, administration, troubleshooting and repair of Access and Security systems (access control and cameras). Triages and prioritizes Tier Two Access and Security systems service requests within the ticketing system. Provides onsite and remote technical troubleshooting for all associated business units, including corporate and site-based teams across all entities. Works with Infrastructure Manager to understand any impacts of ongoing issues to the Access and Security and associated hardware or software. Stays well informed on Access and Security maintenance and upgrade needs for all locations. Leads the planning and execution of Access and Security system upgrades in close consultation with the Infrastructure Manager and the Director of Capital Projects & Major Repairs. In conjunction with other team members, develops documentation and training materials for all business units. Conducts formal and informal trainings and provides assistance to staff. Documents network systems and services to share knowledge with Technology Services team members. Attends meetings with vendors and service providers as needed. Promptly and professionally responds to after-hours emergency calls and/or requests as assigned. Qualifications Experience Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the physical security, fire alarm or low voltage communication industry installing field devices, programming systems Experience with any or all of the following required: Aviglion, Doorking, Butterfly MX Intermediate knowledge of computer networks, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Gateways, routers, switches. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational/product manuals. Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel preferred. Comfortable with a high flow of requests and able to balance priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High school education or equivalent required. Must be able to speak, read and write English in a manner sufficient to carry out duties. Successful completion of background check and drug screen required. Must be legally qualified to work in the U.S. meeting I-9 guidelines.
