Location Annapolis Junction, MD Job Description IDS is seeking Access Control Specialists to support access control and security operations at a government facility. Access Control Services personnel are responsible for monitoring and controlling personnel and vehicle access, enforcing post orders, and maintaining the integrity of controlled areas. This role requires professionalism, strong attention to detail, and the ability to operate in a secure, high‑responsibility environment. Key Duties Ensure assigned posts are opened and closed in accordance with established post orders. Monitor and control personnel and vehicular entry and exit into controlled areas. Conduct enhanced inspections of personnel entering or exiting controlled areas to ensure prohibited or restricted items are not introduced or removed. Operate and maintain administrative control of government‑issued equipment. Enforce access control procedures consistently and professionally. Report incidents, irregularities, and security concerns in accordance with established procedures. Shifts Available Current openings are Full Time for the following shifts: 2nd Shift (Evening) 3rd Shift (Overnight) Weekend shifts Requirements Ability to perform access control duties in accordance with written post orders. Experience in access control, security, or related roles preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures. Ability to operate government equipment as required. Must be a U.S. citizen. Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph desired – limited sponsorship opportunities available. Compensation $25 – $30 per hour Applicable SCA and Executive Order wage determinations apply Employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 20 pounds, but may vary depending on the position.
