Description
These jobs focus on managing the financial aspects of patient care, including billing, insurance claims, payment processing, financial counseling, utilization and revenue cycle analysis. These roles are responsible for managing patient entry points into the healthcare system, including scheduling, registration, and verifying insurance. Patient access staff ensure that patients can efficiently navigate administrative processes while maintaining data accuracy and enhancing the patient experience. Individual contributors with responsibility in a professional discipline or specialty. Spends majority of time leading the design, implementation or delivery of processes, programs and policies using specialized knowledge and skills normally acquired through advanced education (typically University). Established and productive individual contributor. Works independently with general to limited supervision. Problems faced are difficult and may be complex. May influence others regarding policies, practices, and procedures. May have project management responsibilities on small, less-complex projects. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor’s degree in related healthcare or business area required. Master’s degree preferred. Experience: Minimum three (3) years experience in healthcare setting, and in Access preferred. Licensure: None PHYSICAL DEMANDS This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
