JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for an online tutor who has experience in teaching Access to Medicine units, including Fundamentals of Chemistry, Applied Biochemistry, Core Principles of Chemistry (Ex), Advanced Organic Chemistry, Additional Organic Chemistry, Cell Biology for Medicine, Aspects of Human Physiology (Ex), Biomolecules and Key Biochemical Principles (Ex), Medical Uses of Radioisotopes, and Principles of Physics (Ex).
The primary purpose of these qualifications is to prepare learners for progression to higher education in medicine, biomedical sciences, or related health sciences.
The qualification is primarily delivered online, so it is important for you to be able to engage, inspire, and motivate students in a virtual learning environment.
Candidates should be able to independently mark and assess student work in line with Awarding Body requirements and have a good understanding of assessment standards.
You should also be able to prepare and plan lessons and resources, complementing materials provided by the centre.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field and/or a recognized teaching qualification preferred
• Previous teaching experience in Access to Medicine or related science qualifications
• Strong communication and English language skills
• Experience in supervising student work and providing detailed feedback
• Ability to explain complex scientific concepts to a diverse range of students
