Accident Reconstructionist Location: Atlanta, Georgia Job Type: Full-Time Work Setting: Hybrid / Remote Eligible Travel & Field Work: Up to 60% Salary Range $90,000–$110,000 annually, commensurate with experience, credentials, and certifications. Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accident Reconstructionist to join our Atlanta-based team. This role is responsible for investigating motor vehicle crashes, performing vehicle inspections, conducting advanced crash analysis and reconstruction, and providing expert testimony in jury trials. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical expertise with the ability to clearly communicate technical findings to attorneys, judges, and juries. Key Responsibilities * Investigate motor vehicle crashes, including on-site scene examinations as required * Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections to document damage, restraint systems, and vehicle components * Perform crash analysis and reconstruction using accepted engineering principles, methodologies, and software tools * Analyze physical evidence including vehicle damage, roadway evidence, EDR data, photographs, measurements, and witness statements * Prepare clear, defensible technical reports, exhibits, and visual aids for litigation * Collaborate with attorneys, engineers, and internal team members throughout case development * Provide expert testimony through depositions, hearings, and jury trials * Utilize drone technology for aerial scene documentation and analysis when applicable * Maintain accurate case documentation and uphold professional, ethical, and legal standards Required Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical field or equivalent experience in Law Enforcement with crash reconstruction training * Experience in motor vehicle accident investigation and reconstruction * Strong understanding of crash dynamics, vehicle systems, and reconstruction methodologies * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including courtroom testimony * Willingness and ability to travel for inspections, site visits, and court proceedings (up to 60%) * Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record Preferred Qualifications * ACTAR Accreditation (preferred; or actively pursuing) * FAA Part 107 Drone Pilot License * Prior experience providing expert testimony in jury trials and depositions * Proficiency with industry-standard accident reconstruction software and tools * Background in forensic engineering, biomechanics, or vehicle data analysis (EDR) Work Environment * Hybrid role with remote work flexibility * Combination of home office-based analytical work, field investigations, project site visits, and courtroom testimony * Field work and travel may include daytime, evening, or occasional weekend commitments based on case needs * Collaborative, team-oriented culture with a focus on quality, integrity, and professional growth Compensation & Benefits * Competitive salary: $90,000–$110,000, based on experience and credentials * Matching 401(k) * Company Profit Sharing Plan * Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance * Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays * Professional Development Assistance & Tuition Reimbursement up to $5,200 per year * Support for certifications, licensure, and continued technical development
