WHO YOU ARE:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Account Associate to join our team. As an Account Associate, you will play a pivotal role in promoting and managing our business banking solutions, acting as the primary liaison between the Credit Union and our valued business members. If you have a knack for building relationships, providing financial advice, and driving business growth, we want to hear from you!
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Successfully completed a post-secondary business program plus a minimum of 2 years related experience in financial services, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Ability to proactively listen and identify sales opportunities.
- Ability to exercise good judgment in establishing and maintaining working relationships, solve problems, and be able to deliver a high level of accuracy, focus and timeliness.
- Proven organizational, planning, and multi-tasking skills.
- The desire and ability to find success through teamwork and co-operation.
- Ability to present, sell and service Credit Union products as well as demonstrate a professional manner and poise, and sensitivity in dealing with confidential information and materials.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required along with a proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
- Ability to follow policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Through interviews and the analysis of pertinent information, assess new business credit requests from existing members and prospective members.
- Document and present commercial loan applications.
- Structuring loans within loan policy. Approve loans within authorized limits or champion loan recommendations to the appropriate level.
- Present financing proposals, consistent with the approval, to existing or prospective members.
- Review of loan documentation prior to closing for completeness and acceptance by existing or prospective members.
- Manage assigned commercial loan portfolio including annual reviews, credit amendments, interest rate renewals, review of security files, site visits, and portfolio monitoring.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to promote other business services and non-credit products.
- Review current portfolio to ensure members are being supported with the proper banking solutions for their own business evolution. Engaging with members to deliver memorable member experiences when assisting them with their business banking needs.
- Collect and follow-up for delinquent loans and excess operating facilities. Undertakes, and/or, recommends appropriate collection activity including legal action and security realization.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with existing members, network with local professionals and centers of influence to generate new business and referrals.
- Travel to surrounding branches is required.
