JOB SUMMARY

This is an exciting opportunity for the successful Account Executive to work for a food manufacturer who have been established over 36 years and have gained themselves a reputation for excellence within that time, due to a steady increase in orders and new customers thereof they are now looking to recruit and bolster out their Accounts & Customer Service teams where duties will include:

  • Preparation of management accounts : 4 years (required)

Responsibilities

It is expected that the successful Account Executive will have experience of working in a sales, customer service or credit control role previously and be:

  • Preparation of management accounts for confirmation by external accountant
  • Working alongside the financial director & company secretary to process all relevant HMRC payments and transactions
  • Company credit card reconciliation
  • Cash book management & bank statement reconciliation
  • Sales & purchase ledger journals
  • VAT return reconciliation
  • Processing payments through banking system
  • Overseeing our credit controller including aiding with debt management & new customer credit checks
  • Involvement with purchase ledger department including invoice processing and payment runs (job share with someone who is part retired, potential for more involvement in the future if wanted)
  • Credit card payment analysis
  • Direct debit payment analysis
  • Processing of weekly payroll to be generated by our accountants
  • Staff holiday management (in combination with payroll)
  • Processing company pension contributions
  • Analysis of discounts & rebates for sales customers

It is expected that the successful Account Executive will have experience of working in a sales, customer service or credit control role previously and be:

  • Proficient on creating and utilisation of spreadsheets
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills
  • Experience of accounting software
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail
  • Be organised
  • Having a problem-solving mindset
  • Be able to work independently
