ACCOUNT CONSULTANT Location: Grand Rapids Metropolitan Area Employment Type: Full‑Time   Position Summary Join a West Michigan Best and Brightest Company as an Account Consultant to support business growth through account development, opportunity qualification, and long‑term client relationship management. This role serves as a key liaison between customers, sales, and internal teams, ensuring accurate quoting, seamless onboarding, and high‑quality service execution.   Key Responsibilities   Sales & Account Development * Qualify new sales opportunities within both prospective and existing accounts * Generate profitable revenue by preparing accurate quotes and closing sales opportunities * Identify and pursue expansion opportunities within current customer relationships * Establish, onboard, and develop new customer accounts * Take ownership of new sales opportunities from initial inquiry through close Customer Relationship Management * Cultivate strong, long‑term customer relationships to support successful service execution * Manage customer service interactions via email, phone, chat, and website inquiries * Conduct post‑sale follow‑ups to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business * Train customers and prospects on optimal processes for working with the organization Sales Operations & Coordination * Create, maintain, and follow up on quotes and customer inquiries * Communicate proactively with sales and cross‑functional teams regarding ongoing projects, new accounts, and service issues * Coordinate activities between customers, sales, and internal departments to ensure timely and accurate product and service delivery * Verify, enter, and maintain customer and opportunity data within the CRM system * Monitor customer activity and pipeline data within CRM to drive informed sales actions Marketing & Continuous Improvement * Assist in the development and communication of company marketing initiatives * Identify qualified product or service leads within targeted markets * Continuously update job knowledge by studying relevant product and service information and participating in learning opportunities * Take initiative to improve processes, add customer value, and support departmental and organizational goals Qualifications * Experience in account management, sales support, or customer‑facing roles (2-4 years) * Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business or related field strongly desired * Strong communication and relationship‑building skills * Ability to manage multiple customer interactions and sales opportunities simultaneously * Experience with CRM systems and quoting processes * Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and follow‑up skills * Self‑motivated with a growth‑oriented mindset EQUAL OPPORTUNITY Grand Rapids Metrology is an Equal Opportunity Employer and considers applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or other protected classes.
