About the role:
LANGTON is currently looking for eager and driven Account Coordinator to come on board our team of PR professionals. The ideal candidate is someone who has recently graduated from a PR or related program and is looking to gain valuable experience in the industry. The Account Coordinator will provide support on various executional projects for a variety of clients. Someone with a minimum of 1 year PR experience or a related field (can be internship, co-op, part-time, or freelance work) would be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

Daily responsibilities of the Account Coordinator include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Familiarize yourself with the variety of clients and brands you work with, learning their ethos, branding, messaging, and products.
  • Create targeted, strategic lists for influencer campaigns, mailers, media outreach, and client events and activations.
  • Outreach to influencers, media, and other industry personnel for various client projects and activations. Onus is on the coordinator to carry on the conversation from start to finish.
  • Develop creative and well-written copy with no errors for eblasts, suggestions lists, and other digital communications.
  • Execute on various projects, liaise with vendors, scout for mailer and event related items. Ensure that you are keeping client’s budget in mind, and work with the kit production manager to meet required deadlines.
  • Design campaign mailer cards, event signage, event invitations, and other visual assets, based on client’s branding, messaging, and ethos.
  • Arrange any courier deliveries for campaign mailers, event items, media requests, or any other client or company related deliveries.
  • Conduct Social Media tracking for various campaigns and events.
  • Upon the completion of a client campaign or project, prepare accurate and honest post-mortems and metric reports for client’s review.
  • Attend all client meetings (bi-weekly/monthly) to grasp a full scope of what client’s needs and wants are.
  • Take all meeting minutes during client calls and ensure that clients have all deadlines and information required for deliverables.
  • Assist with in-person events and activations, from start to finish, including set up, event execution, and tear down.
  • Work with Senior team to manage client expenses and budgets, thoroughly, honestly, and effectively. Doing regular ledger updates so we can send brand accurate and frequent expenditure updates.
  • Must be able to commute to and work 3 times a week from our Toronto Office, on mandated days Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, from 9-5pm.
  • Must be willing to travel on an occasional basis for, but not limited to, client meetings, venue visits, and events & activations

  • A minimum of 1 year of PR, agency or related experience is considered an asset. (Experience can include internships, co-op, freelance, or part-time experience.)
  • Post-secondary degree in public relations, communications, marketing, journalism, or related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, as well as basic visual and creative design skills are considered an asset.
  • Highly organized, with great time management skills, and the ability to work within and thrive in a fast-paced environment with established deadlines.
