Job Description What is the opportunity? Reporting to the Managing Director - Head of Transfer Pricing and VAT Europe, you will improve end to end financial data quality for use in the VAT compliance process and produce relevant data analytics to reduce overall compliance risks. You don’t need to have VAT qualifications or experience – what we’re looking for is someone with data management skills, so don’t worry if you do not have tax knowledge. What will you do? Deliver all of data extraction, manipulation and analysis in relation to VAT compliance in UK and Europe. Develop and produce data analytics for the Head of VAT and internal stakeholders to improve management of VAT compliance risk. Assist in driving continuous improvements in data processes for VAT and other areas of taxation, as directed. Manage, and where possible, automate reconciliations between VAT balances between VAT return software and general ledger balances. What do you need to succeed? Must-have Excellent/advanced Excel skills Experience of Alteryx and Power BI Excellent data management background Data analytics, data solutions and management information experience Accounting data experience Ability to prioritise goals and objectives and drive shareholder value Excellent people skills Qualified Accountant – ACCA, ACA, AAT, CIMA, CIPFA, ICAEW or similar / equivalent.
