Description
ABOUT THRYV For over 125 years, Thryv has helped local businesses compete and win — from print directories to cutting-edge SaaS tools and digital marketing services. We help Aussie business owners manage their time, connect with customers and grow with confidence. The starting line for a serious sales career. THE OPPORTUNITY Are you someone who loves talking to people, enjoys a fast pace, and gets a real buzz from finishing the day knowing you genuinely helped a business owner? Thryv is looking for an Appointment Development Representative (ADR) to join our inside sales team — and this role is ground zero for our sales engine. You'll spend your day connecting with Aussie business owners via our automatic dialler — mixing fresh leads from our iconic Yellow Pages and Thryv brands with smart re-connects. You'll ask great questions, uncover real opportunities, and hand them off to our Field Sales BDMs set up to win. When the opportunities you generate convert into sales, you earn commission too. This is a full-time, work-from-home role (Mon–Fri, 8:30am–5:00pm AEST). We can only consider candidates in AEST or ACST time zones. Starting package: $70,750 ($55,750 base + super, $15K OTE commission — and no, $15K is not a cap).   WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING * Conduct 60+ outbound calls per day to Aussie business owners using our automatic dialler and lead sources including Yellow Pages and Thryv * Ask smart, purposeful questions to uncover real opportunities and qualify which leads are ready to move to the field sales team * Capture key insights and hand off qualified leads to Field Sales BDMs with everything they need to walk in prepared * Manage follow-ups with discipline — calls, SMS and email — so no opportunity slips through the cracks * Achieve daily, weekly and monthly KPIs and activity targets as set out by the business * Earn commission on opportunities you generate that convert into sales * Maintain clean, accurate pipeline notes and participate in regular team huddles and coaching sessions   WHAT MAKES YOU STAND OUT * You can handle 60+ calls a day and still sound like a human — your energy is real and it shows * You ask smart questions and know how to spot the difference between a quick hello and a door that's opening * You've worked in a customer-facing or foundational sales role — retail, hospitality or call centre experience is a real plus * You're driven by clear targets and get genuine satisfaction from ticking them off * You're organised, disciplined and persistent — follow-through is your superpower * You work from home effectively and can self-manage in a structured environment * You don't need a sales title. You need energy, curiosity and follow-through.   WHERE THIS CAN TAKE YOU ~12 months: Opportunity to step into a hybrid role. Earning potential $110K+ once established. ~24 months: Potential move into a field-based BDM role. Earning potential $130K+ once established. This isn't a "maybe one day" pathway. It's real, visible and actively supported.   WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT HERE Clear career pathway - Hybrid role at ~12 months, field BDM at ~24 months — real and supported Commission on conversions - Earn on every opportunity you generate that turns into a sale Work from home - Mon–Fri 8:30am–5:00pm AEST. Evenings and weekends all yours. Strong onboarding - Coaching, huddles and support from day one Annual salary reviews - Strong performance gets noticed and rewarded Down-to-earth culture - Performance-driven but genuinely human. We back our people.   RECRUITMENT TIMELINE Candidates are encouraged to review the anticipated recruitment timeline below when considering their application.
