JOB SUMMARY:

The Account Development Representative is responsible for driving Microbial Solutions sales in specified region. S/he administers the sales process for specific products, services, accounts and/or sales opportunities via phone and e-mail while supporting the Account Managers in the region. This individual works closely with the Microbial Solutions Commercial team to meet and exceed sales quotas for a specific territory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Account Managers in the territory to meet shared sales goals and manage territory opportunities.
  • Support Account Managers in the territory as needed with repeat and routine business opportunities.
  • Support Account Managers by generating and qualifying new leads resulting from trade shows and through the development of targeted marketing campaigns.
  • Responsible for engaging a portion of the territory not currently explored by Account Managers with objective to develop new customer relationships and expand the business.
  • Provide pricing, create and submit individualized quotes and support price renewal price process in region.
  • Develop and qualify leads through customer contact and prospecting.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to address customer questions/objections, provide pricing, and follow through to close of sale.
  • Coordinate internally to support contract lab enquiries and opportunities
  • Lead projects such as dormant account reimplementation, next generation products and end of life campaigns.
  • Establish and nurture positive, productive relationships with customer accounts end-users, management and purchasing contacts.
  • Maintain a CRM database via updates to sales opportunities, sales stages, marketing statuses, and customer intelligence data.
  • Share customer problems/concerns with relevant departments for quality resolution.
  • Gain and share competitive market information with Commercial team.
  • Work collaboratively with Marketing to drive product promotions and provide feedback on ROI.
  • Attend conferences and sales meetings and trade shows as necessary
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A. /B.S.) or equivalent in marketing, business or related discipline.

Experience: 2 years related experience in sales or customer services.

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.

Language: Ability to communicate in English fluently, (oral and written) is required.
IT Literacy: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Experience in Salesforce is an advantage.
Communication: Team player. Effective communication (both oral & written) both with customers and internal teams.

    • Customer service –sensitive to the needs and concerns of customers, remaining courteous at all times while swiftly responding to requests

    • Data entry – logging data is a vital part of this job and a keen eye to detail is important.
