We are seeking an Account Director to join our growing team. The Account Director leads and oversees a vertical team focused on driving sales, ensuring client success, and maintaining high renewal rates. The Account Director is responsible for the overall performance, growth, and budget management of their assigned vertical, managing a team of Strategists, Editors, Writers, and Web Designers & Developers while ensuring exceptional client satisfaction and results.

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive revenue growth through new sales opportunities and client retention within the assigned vertical
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing to support lead generation & appropriate client transfer to vertical.
  • Manage the vertical’s budget, including resource allocation and hiring decisions to optimize team composition.
  • Directly manage and mentor Strategists and Managing Editors to ensure client and team success
  • Compile consistent performance notes of all staff for performance reviews.
  • Have supportive and corrective conversations, including placing team members on PIPs when needed.
  • Manage vacation requests, sick time, and ensure proper staffing coverage during vacation and sick outages for all accounts.
  • Ensure accurate tracking of KPI database hours for the department.
  • Oversee client campaigns to ensure that client objectives are achieved, and address and correct any issues.
  • Ensure all Strategic plans are created and that execution deliverables meet or exceed FPS standards
  • Maintain relationships with decision-makers at client companies.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency and client outcomes
  • Collaborate with Account Directors across verticals to maintain consistency in branding and product
  • Keep C-Suite informed of all changes, and obtain approval on significant changes (those that impact budget structure or delivery of product).
  • Develop monthly reports for C-suite on vertical performance, including key metrics, budget utilization, and client satisfaction
  • Provide appropriate level of information on team performance and client performance to C-Suite.
  • Provide coverage for other Account Directors and coordinate vacations so that only one Account Director is OOO at any given time.
  • Ensure appropriate coverage for vertical team staff at all times.
  • Driving new sales through conducting successful sales calls with potential new clients, as well as relationship-building.

FISCAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver on P&L targets (revenue and profit)
  • Maintain profitability even if revenue is below budget
