ACCOUNT DIRECTOR Strategy-First Media Agency | Sydney $100K - $130K + Super | Hybrid Work | People Leadership Role Tired of being just another media specialist? We're looking for an Account Director who thinks like a business owner, not just a marketer. Why This Role Is Different This isn't a traditional media role. You won't be drowning in day-to-day execution or stuck in the weeds of campaign optimisation. Instead, you'll be running strategic client workshops, conducting market mix modelling, and solving diverse business challenges across omnichannel retail, B2B tech, luxury brands, and e-commerce. You'll have access to their in-house data science team (led by an ex-ANZ Bank data scientist) and their sister company's market mix modelling SaaS tool. You'll be working at the cutting edge of strategic marketing, not just managing media buys. What We Need From You Dual experience: You've worked both agency and client-side, so you understand both perspectives Business acumen: You care about commercial outcomes, not just marketing metrics Versatility: You've worked across diverse industries and client types – no narrow specialists here Client leadership: You build deep, trusted relationships and can independently lead strategic conversations Hands-on heritage: You don't need to be on the tools daily, but you've been there and understand the execution Entrepreneurial spirit: You're tenacious, resourceful, and thrive when solving unfamiliar challenges Bonus points if: You've worked in smaller/mid-size agencies (though we won't rule out adaptable holding company folks) • You have search expertise or social/programmatic specialisation • You've demonstrated career progression with good tenure Why This Agency?
