We are hiring a Director of Consulting & Engineering Services (CES) to build, lead and scale CES across the UKI Policing and Blue Light sector.This is a high‑impact leadership role where you will shape strategy, engage senior policing stakeholders, and grow a consulting and engineering portfolio that directly supports public safety outcomes. This is an opportunity to move DXC from a traditional IT supplier to a trusted strategic partner across the policing and blue light ecosystem. What You’ll Do Sector & Account Growth Lead the CES growth strategy for the UKI Policing and Blue Light sector. Identify and win opportunities across engineering, data, AI, analytics and application modernisation. Drive complex sales within public sector and blue light procurement frameworks. Build and manage a quality pipeline that converts into sustainable revenue and margin. Partner closely with ITO and infrastructure leadership to broaden DXC’s relevance. Client & Stakeholder Engagement Build trusted relationships with senior policing, operational and command-level leaders. Navigate complex governance, funding cycles and public accountability requirements. Operate as DXC’s senior CES representative across the sector, influencing long‑term decisions. Sector Expertise & Consulting Leadership Bring deep knowledge of UK policing and blue light operations. Understand applications, data and intelligence platforms that support investigations, command-and-control and emergency response. Lead consulting-led conversations that translate public safety outcomes into secure, ethical and resilient technology solutions. Demonstrate strong understanding of data governance, security, ethics and AI in policing. Team Leadership Build and lead a CES team aligned to sector needs. Create a high‑performance, delivery‑focused culture. Ensure consistent CES leadership presence across the anchor account and wider sector. Commercial Delivery Own CES revenue, margin and contract outcomes for the sector. Develop commercial models aligned with public sector assurance and value‑for‑money expectations. Maintain strong governance throughout the sales and delivery lifecycle. What You’ll Bring Senior leadership experience in UK policing, blue light or public safety technology environments. Proven success selling and delivering consulting and engineering services into police forces, emergency services or justice organisations. Strong sales and deal-shaping experience within public sector procurement frameworks. Deep understanding of policing technology, operational resilience and data sensitivity. Strong commercial acumen with an appreciation of public accountability. Established relationships and credibility within the UK policing and blue light ecosystem. Background likely from a major IT services provider with direct sector expertise. Success Measures Establishing a visible and credible CES leadership presence within the MPS within 6 months. Converting CES opportunities into contracted work aligned to policing and blue light priorities. Expanding CES engagement across additional police forces and blue light organisations.
