QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6–8+ years of relevant experience in social media strategy, digital communications, or integrated marketing (agency experience preferred)
  • Experience managing large, multi-channel programs for consumer, corporate, or global brands
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Experience managing people and developing high-performing teams
  • Familiarity with paid social, influencer marketing, social analytics tools (e.g., Sprinklr, Brandwatch, Netbase), and platform ad managers is a plus

ABOUT THE ROLE

Edelman is looking for a strategic, creative, and collaborative Account Director, Social Media to lead integrated social campaigns for major brands. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, storytelling, culture, and performance - helping clients connect with their audiences in authentic, impactful ways. You’ll drive innovative thinking, lead client relationships, and mentor a growing team of social strategists and community managers.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead integrated, cross-platform social media strategies across owned, earned, and paid channels
  • Act as a senior client partner, offering proactive counsel and creative problem-solving
  • Oversee campaign development from concept to execution — including content planning, creative briefings, publishing calendars, performance analysis, and reporting
  • Manage day-to-day team operations, budgets, scopes, and timelines
  • Collaborate with creative, strategy, paid media, influencer, and analytics teams to ensure seamless delivery
  • Lead team growth through mentorship, guidance, and development planning
  • Monitor trends, tools, and emerging platforms to continually push innovation and cultural relevance
  • Support new business development and organic growth through proposals, pitches, and POVs
