Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Account Director will be responsible for the Account team, whose focus is to sell and lead projects with Yeager’s client base, and to continually refine and execute our sales strategy for growing revenue within existing accounts. This role requires a hands-on sales leader with experience selling marketing services and managing client projects and relationships. The Account Director will work closely with leadership to meet revenue goals and will directly manage a team of Account Managers.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Account Management, Growth & Client Retention
  • Lead high-impact, strategically-driven projects with clients that deliver measurable results and long-term value for clients.
  • Align client needs with Yeager packaged services and custom solutions.
  • Build strong relationships with CMOs, marketing leaders, and key decision-makers to uncover goals, challenges, and definitions of success.
  • Partner with Account Managers to expand revenue—identifying upsell, cross-sell, and whitespace opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Provide strategic insights that help clients maximize their marketing investments and connect marketing to business outcomes.
  • Guide annual planning and ensure every engagement is rooted in smart strategy and clear performance expectations.
  • Champion the Yeager process—driving consistency, collaboration, and accountability across every client engagement.
  • Stay tapped into client industries and trends—translating insight into marketing solutions that lead the conversation.
  • Balance client priorities with agency goals, bringing clarity, confidence, and empathy to every decision.
  • Proactively identify and address risks to client relationships or revenue, keeping internal stakeholders informed and ahead of the curve.
  • Ensure accounts are resourced efficiently, and teams are equipped to deliver with excellence.
  • Foster a culture of creative problem-solving, open collaboration, and constructive tension that pushes work forward.
  • Help amplify the agency’s impact by highlighting standout work, case studies, and strategic wins.
  • Foster a culture of open dialogue, trust, and constructive conflict—because the best ideas come from bold collaboration.
  • Sales Execution & Leadership
  • Oversee and support the daily activities of two Account Managers, coaching them to meet and exceed growth targets.
  • Define and implement a structured sales process aligned with Yeager’s business strategy and revenue goals.
  • Develop and execute outbound sales strategies—including prospecting, outreach, and follow-ups—for account expansion and growth.
  • Lead proposal development, pitch presentations, and contract negotiations with clarity and confidence.Maintain an active pipeline, track progress, and deliver accurate sales forecasting.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing effort to align demand-gen efforts with sales objectives and pipeline priorities.
  • Participate in monthly meetings and report on accounts and progress toward goals.
