Looking for a flexible, full-time gig (37.5 hours a week—though 30 could be possible)? You’ll earn between £74,500 and £89,400, including a base salary (£50,000-£60,000), a healthy 9% pension, and the chance for a 40% bonus if you and the team hit your targets.

WHO DO WE NEED?

We’re looking for a commercially astute and results-driven Account Executive to join our growing sales team who is excited by the challenge of helping large, complex organisations unlock value through bespoke software solutions.
This role is ideal for someone with a consultative mindset and a track record of converting complex opportunities. You’ll be confident leading sales conversations with senior stakeholders across sectors like Financial Services, Manufacturing, Defence, Professional Services and Government, delivering a high-quality experience that reflects Ghyston’s premium brand and deep technical capability.
You’ll be supported by a dedicated SDR to generate pipeline and will report to our Sales Director as part of a growing, collaborative team that’s shaping the future of sales at Ghyston. This is a brilliant opportunity to take ownership of enterprise opportunities and contribute meaningfully to our continued growth.

IDEAL EXPERIENCE

  • 4–6 years of experience in B2B sales, ideally in tech consulting, digital agencies, or software delivery
  • A strong track record of closing high-value deals (typically £100k+)
  • Understands how to sell into IT, engineering, or transformation teams in large or scaling organisations
  • Comfortable owning the full sales process, from discovery to proposal to close
  • Confident using HubSpot for pipeline management, reporting and communication
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, persuasive, structured and tailored
  • Thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and takes real pride in the quality of their work
  • Bonus: experience responding to public sector tenders

Responsibilities

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

As an Account Executive, you’ll be responsible for owning and closing new business opportunities across Ghyston’s service offerings, from bespoke software builds to long-term support and team augmentation. You’ll focus on winning work with clients who are actively modernising their tech estate, navigating complex internal structures, and looking for high-trust external partners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own and manage the end-to-end sales process from initial discovery to commercial negotiation and close.
  • Qualify and progress warm, qualified leads passed from the SDR and marketing channels.
  • Lead first-time calls and run structured explorations to uncover client needs and decision-making drivers.
  • Work alongside Technical Presales to craft compelling proposals, presentations and commercial responses that demonstrate Ghyston’s value.
  • Represent Ghyston in pitch meetings with senior decision-makers and tech leaders.
  • Write compelling proposal documents for complex solutions.
  • Collaborate with technical and delivery colleagues to shape project solutions and staffing models.
  • Manage and forecast pipeline through HubSpot CRM, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Respond to inbound leads, including public sector tenders where relevant.
  • Share insights with the wider team to shape our go-to-market strategy and refine positioning.
