The Position
The Account Executive’s role is to proactively grow the B2B sales by generating proposals, securing new contracts, proactively identifying potential new customers, meeting individual quotas and the performance requirements relating to individual and group objectives, as identified by the Regional Developer for Interior BC. You’ll be part of a team that directly impacts the success of our organization and our CBO’s which is tremendously rewarding. Essential Duties:
· Professionally represents JAN-PRO in the marketplace as the industry leader in commercial cleaning & janitorial services
· Provides regular updates and information relating to daily activities and account status to the Regional Developer (GM)
· Proactively prospects businesses to identify potential new customers
· Works in cooperation with the Regional Developer to help achieve individual and office objectives
· Works with the Regional Developer to develop reports to indicate levels of individual and group achievement
· Analyzes, collates and presents information related to current market conditions as requested by the Regional Developer
· Establishes and maintains accurate prospect and customer records
· Cooperates and coordinates start-up of new accounts with Brand Standards Team
· Prepares and/or reviews new business proposals with accuracy and professionalism
· Makes recommendations to Sales Manager/Regional Developer relating to effective sales methods and techniques
· Coordinates start-up of new customer accounts and develops short and long-term relationships with accounts and JAN-PRO’s Certified Business Owners (“CBO’s”)
· Maintain proper records for our company databases.
· Performs other related duties as assigned
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities we’re looking for:
· You must be willing to prospect and cold call, and network to set up appointments to either capture, renew or expand new business opportunities with your clients
· 3-5 years of previous experience in sales or sales administration
· Solicits and qualifies sales appointments
· Clear and pleasant telephone manner
· Ability to document detailed and accurate prospect and client information in the company’s CRM database
· Conduct themselves personally and professionally with a highly ethical focus
· Ability and initiative to get things done
· You are required to have a valid Driver’s license and be able to meet prospective customers at their facility.
· Have the ability of making exceptional presentations
· Excellent written and oral communication skills in the English language (being multilingual is certainly a benefit).
· Professional demeanour with the ability to both work with others and assume a leadership role.
· Proficiency with computers – particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
· Proficient in the use of the Internet
· College or University Degree is an asset.
