About the role We're hiring an Account Executive to independently own and close new merchant and partner business at Revup. You will manage opportunities end-to-end — from the first conversation to the signed contract — within a small, high-performance commercial team where your contribution is directly visible. This role is for someone who has built their sales foundation and is ready to operate in a high-value, consultative environment. You won't be handed a fully built pipeline or a large support team. What you'll get is a strong product, close access to leadership, and the freedom to build your book the way you see fit. You will report directly to the Head of Sales and work alongside our Senior Account Executive and Partnerships lead on a day-to-day basis. Your mission Pipeline ownership & new business Own and manage a qualified pipeline of merchant and partner opportunities from first conversation to close Run discovery calls, identify pain points, and build compelling business cases grounded in the merchant's reality Present Revup's payment orchestration solutions in a focused, outcome-driven way — not feature dumping Manage deal cycles, multi-stakeholder processes, and next steps with discipline Prepare proposals and lead commercial negotiations through to signature Prospecting & outreach Build your own pipeline through outbound outreach (LinkedIn, email, events, calls) and use AI tools and automation (e.g., Gemini, ChatGPT, Clay) to research, enrich, and scale your prospecting efforts Identify high-fit merchants in Revup's target verticals: e-commerce, fintech, subscription, and digital services Represent Revup at industry calls, meetings, and events where relevant Commercial execution & CRM Maintain accurate pipeline data in HubSpot — deal stages, activities, next steps, and forecasts Contribute to sales playbooks, outreach messaging, and commercial process improvements Coordinate with internal teams (operations, risk, onboarding, product, support) to ensure smooth handoffs and client satisfaction post-close Must have 3–5 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or partnerships — with a proven track record of independently managing and closing deals Strong communication skills in English and Spanish (written and spoken) Strong consultative selling skills and commercial maturity: you build business cases, not pitches Comfortable working in a fast-paced, lean environment where accountability is the norm Disciplined with CRM tools and pipeline reporting (HubSpot preferred) Ability to balance persistence with professionalism Tech-savvy and curious: comfortable using AI tools, automation, and data to work smarter — you see technology as a multiplier, not a nice-to-have Nice to have Experience in payments, fintech, SaaS, e-commerce, subscription, or digital services Understanding of merchant pain points: conversion, fraud, chargebacks, checkout optimisation, and payment performance Experience working cross-functionally with operational and technical teams Hands-on with AI and prospecting tools: experience using AI assistants, lead enrichment platforms, or sales automation tools to improve outreach quality and pipeline velocity An existing network or merchant portfolio in relevant verticals What success looks like in this role You generate and close qualified revenue consistently — your pipeline is your responsibility Your deals are structured, realistic, and always have a clear next step You run professional commercial processes that build trust with both clients and internal teams You improve your own win rates through sharper qualification and better positioning over time You contribute to the team's collective knowledge: playbooks, messaging, and best practices get better because of you What we're looking for (the must-haves) We need someone who: Has closed real deals — you can walk us through what you sold, to whom, the deal size, and your role in making it happen Is commercially mature: you qualify hard, manage stakeholders well, and know when to push and when to step back Brings a tech-first approach to selling — using AI and automation to prospect smarter and move faster, not waiting for leads to come to you Understands that Revup is in a scale-up phase and sees that as an opportunity, not a risk Wants to own their number — no excuses, no hand-holding, just consistent commercial execution When you apply, include a short note with examples of deals you've managed: the industry, deal size, and your specific role in closing them.
