Lockstep is looking for a dynamic, high-performing Account Executive to serve our SLED (State & Local Government and Education) customers. You will be responsible for managing and building a base of business and proactively reaching out to ensure client satisfaction/retention while continuously hunting and closing new business. The ideal candidate has a history of bringing on new business and hitting sales quotas, and the ability to manage large, diverse accounts, and loves the challenges that come in a competitive market. Managing the entire sales cycle from finding a client to securing a deal. Using prescribed sales methodology enabling you to navigate complex organizations to complete sales. Unearthing new sales opportunities through networking and prospecting and then turning them into long term partnerships. Presenting solutions to prospective clients. Working hard to ensure happy customers as their true technology partner Coordinating resources to assist customers in developing and implementing their IT strategy Working with and developing strong relationships with manufacturers (vendors) to jointly pursue end-user business. Maintaining professional and technical knowledge in order to provide value to your client base. Accurately forecast your business and maintaining the CRM Other related duties as assigned. Requirements What we’re looking for The ideal candidate will hit the ground running with experience selling VAR (Value Added Reseller) & a book of accounts that you can run with, preferred Managed Service Provider (MSP): 3+ years, preferred SLED (State & Local Government and Education) Sales experience, preferred The ability to work in a technical environment and able to communicate with technical people Someone who loves hunting, cold calling, preferred Experience with consultative selling The ability to work in a technical environment and able to communicate with technical people Have proven experience as a high-performing individual contributor selling managed and/or professional services Excellent communication skills (written and oral) Ability to build strong relationships Good organizational and time-management skills Attention to detail/excellent follow-up Proactively drive business Must professionally represent Lockstep Technology Group Be enthusiastic and passionate What to Expect 75 – 80% regional travel required Prolonged sitting at a desk and using a computer, must be able to lift at least 15 pounds, and be able to work in an office with other employees.
