REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2–4 years of experience in sales —ideally in a PLG or SaaS environment
  • Comfortable owning a quota and full sales cycle with a consultative approach
  • Strong product intuition—able to understand technical features and communicate value clearly
  • Experience handling inbound volume and closing “land and expand” deals
  • Proactive, customer-centric, and scrappy—this is a startup, not a call center
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
  • You have a results-oriented mindset with a passion for driving revenue growth and delivering exceptional customer experiences
  • Bonus Points: Familiarity with video tools, creator platforms, or AI products

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We’re looking for a Product-Led Account Executive to join our growing GTM Account Executive team. This is a unique opportunity for a seller who thrives in a PLG environment and is excited to close inbound, self-serve, and commercial contracts. You’ll play a key role in converting high-intent users into paying customers and helping them scale usage across their teams.
Joining as a founding member of the GTM Account Executive team means you’re not just selling — you’re shaping the future of the company. You’ll play a critical role in building sales motion from the ground up, influencing strategy, messaging, and customer experience. Your input directly impacts product direction and go-to-market fit, and your wins set the benchmark for future hires. This is a rare opportunity to leave your mark, operate with autonomy, and grow alongside the business — not just in title, but in trajectory and impact.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own and close inbound deals from high-intent users (e.g. trial signups, pricing inquiries, product questions)
  • Expand usage within existing accounts by identifying cross-functional needs and upsell opportunities
  • Collaborate with Support and Success teams to turn reactive questions into revenue moments
  • Conduct discovery calls and product demos for self-serve and mid-market users
  • Develop a deep understanding of customers’ needs, pain points, and objectives to tailor Captions solutions effectively
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams like Customer Success, Marketing, and Product, to optimize the sales process and ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and performance metrics, including monthly quotas and conversion rates.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and product developments to effectively position Captions in the AI Video tools space
