Description
About Us HAT.tec is an internationally operating software startup in the aviation and defense sector. We believe that the future lies in collaboration between humans and machines — Human Autonomy Teaming. We specialize in the development and application of technologies for the coordinated operation of manned and unmanned systems (Manned-Unmanned Teaming), always keeping people at the center. Our users include pilots, operators, crew members, and leaders who ensure the safety and freedom of others through their work. Our software solutions support personnel in safety-critical missions — and you help bring these solutions to where they are needed most. As an Account Executive (m/f/d), you will actively shape the growth of our company: you will acquire new customers, develop strategic partnerships, and ensure that our solutions create real impact — in the field and beyond. Join our team as soon as possible as an Your Responsibilities Create impact where it matters: You empower operational forces and bring our mission software into real-world operations. What you sell are not just features, but responsibility, operational capability, and mission success. Act strategically, think collaboratively: You understand what customers truly need and work closely with the Go-to-Market team to deliver the right solutions. You build long-term customer relationships, grow existing accounts, and establish new strategic partnerships. Identify and communicate value clearly: You understand the real operational impact of our software and can make that value tangible for decision-makers, users, and partners. Your network, market knowledge, and ability to explain complex technologies in a clear and understandable way create trust and credibility. Build the bridge between market and product development: You actively contribute customer feedback and market requirements to the further development of our products and collaborate closely with product and engineering teams. Manage the sales cycle professionally: From the first contact to contract signing, you take ownership of the entire sales cycle. You identify opportunities, strategically develop deals, prepare proposals, lead negotiations, and successfully close agreements. Strengthen relationships and drive engagement: You actively maintain and expand your professional network and strategically develop customer relationships. At trade fairs, industry events, and conferences, you proactively engage with decision-makers, identify new business opportunities, and build long-term partnerships. Your Profile You have several years of experience in sales of complex, consultative technologies, ideally within software solutions for aviation, defense, or other safety-critical industries. Experience working with OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) is a strong advantage — you understand the structures, decision-making processes, and requirements of such organizations. Ideally, you bring experience from a military environment or from collaborating with armed forces, government authorities, or security-related organizations, and understand the unique framework and requirements of this industry. You thrive in the sales of complex, highly consultative systems — especially within safety-critical sectors. You always view technology in context: the focus is not on the product itself, but on the tangible value it creates for customers. You have successfully managed complex sales cycles, coordinated multiple stakeholders, and guided deals from initial contact through to successful closing. You work in a structured and self-driven manner, with a clear understanding of the bigger picture while maintaining a strong hands-on mentality. Communication is more than just a tool for you: you express yourself clearly, listen actively, and build strong connections — within teams and with customers alike. You are a native French speaker, fluent in English at a business negotiation level, and German language skills would be considered a plus. And because you know that success is built through collaboration, you enjoy working with others — openly, reliably, and with the shared goal of creating meaningful impact together.
