SUMMARY

The Account Executive is responsible for the management and growth of the customers within their scope of responsibility. In the role of the Account Executive, it is essential to increase sales and retain the customers we have. The ideal candidate is unwavering in their desire to increase revenues and profitability.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of sales experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. These skills are to be always practiced and enforced with all stakeholders
  • Extensive knowledge and comfort with technology platforms. This includes but is not limited to: Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams), Monday.com, Canva and Pace
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced setting
  • Commitment to upholding the Powertex Employee Handbook in all situations and assisting in creating/maintaining a positive and welcoming environment for all
  • Drive to integrate company ETHOS into the foundation of our daily activities

Responsibilities
  • Meets or exceeds aggregate sales goals for their customers utilizing all sales tools and support resources available to them to hit sales goals
  • Manages customer relationships, prioritizing retention by being accessible, proactive, and transparent in communicating program status updates to clients
  • Travel is required in this role. The extent of travel will be determined based on the customer accounts assigned to the role. The VP of Client Services reserves the right to assign travel as needed to support our customers. Travel may be requested for customer events, face-to-face customer meetings, and festivals
  • Customer status meets are required for all program customers and must not be longer than 30 days apart. The larger the account, the more frequent our status meets should be
  • Transactional customers must be engaged at least quarterly, and customers with potential annual business over $100k must be contacted at least monthly
  • Pitching products and services not being utilized by customers on a regular basis. Quality over frequency when it comes to service offerings. We need to be thoughtful in our strategy to generate interest to move them through the sales funnel
  • Quarterly customer research. The Account Executive needs to take the time to research the brands they are working with regularly to be in tune with the brands’ goals, resulting in bringing forward products and services that can support their goals
  • Providing quotes from Pace to the customer as needed
  • Creating Canva mockups in addition to quotes when quick mockups are valuable in securing the order. When there are larger opportunities or the art is complex, request art through the Creative department
  • Conducts annual line plan analysis for all program customers and recurring transactional relationships requiring a product line. The analysis will be thorough and pragmatic to maximize sales while carefully considering inventory management
  • Responsible for reviewing all Product Collections prior to them being presented to ensure the products and designs are on trend and follow the analysis provided for the Collection
  • Support our engagement team with ideation and the planning of our campaigns for the Dealer and Corporate Channels
  • Review and approve initial inventory and reorder jobs prior to moving to production
  • Review customer P&L’s monthly and ensure program costs are in line with the budget provided for the program. The Account Executive proactively engages the VP of Client Services when there are concerns about going over budget. The Account Executive will bring solutions to the VP of Client Services on how we can best impact the numbers for the positive
  • The Account Executive prioritizes profit generation equally to top-line revenue
  • The Account Executive partakes in the Casserole process and provides detailed updates both monthly and quarterly as we plan out our strategy for each customer monitored through the process
  • Works to incorporate, implant, and recognize company ETHOS in our daily work environment
  • Assists in the backup role for other Account Executives as required
  • Performs other duties as requested
