SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in a sales role, preferably within the travel/ tourism software industry.
  • Sales Skills: Strong ability to prospect, qualify leads, and close deals in a consultative sales environment.
  • Customer Focus: Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer-centric approach to building and maintaining relationships.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities to articulate product benefits and address customer needs effectively.
  • Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with CRM tools and other sales enablement software.
  • Team Player: A collaborative mindset, with a willingness to work closely with teammates to achieve common goals.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a hybrid environment, travel locally as required, and collaborate with teams across time zones.
  • Ideally experience in a SaaS start-up or scale-up environment, as an early sales hire.
  • Comfortable using Hubspot.
Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development:

  • Proactively identify and research prospective customers in the travel and tourism industry using tools such as LinkedIn, CRM data, and market insights.
  • Manage an inbound pipeline across ANZ.
  • Conduct high-quality outbound outreach through calls, emails, and networking to generate new business opportunities.
  • Deliver compelling and customized product demonstrations that align with prospective customers’ pain points and goals.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, meeting or exceeding monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Stay informed on competitor activities and market trends to position our solutions effectively.

Collaboration & Reporting:

  • Work closely with the ANZ sales team to align sales activities with regional goals and share best practices.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline progress in the company’s CRM system.
  • Report regularly to the Head of Sales ANZ on key metrics, including lead generation, pipeline development, and closed deals.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and stay aligned with company strategies.
