Account Executive / Senior Account Executive
Salary Range – $60-75K
anthonyBarnum Public Relations is hiring for an Account Executive or Senior Account Executive to join our Austin-based team. We’re hiring at both the Account Executive and Senior Account Executive level and will match the role to the right candidate’s experience. The ideal candidate has 2 to 5+ years of public relations experience, ideally within a B2B and tech-focused agency, and brings strong skills in writing, media outreach, and client communication.
This is a hands-on role for professionals who are eager to drive meaningful media and content results across campaigns while collaborating closely with account leads and internal teams. Candidates must be proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple client accounts in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead and support execution of media relations and content campaigns for B2B clients
  • Draft publishable press releases, pitches, bylines, and thought leadership content
  • Manage day-to-day client communications and deliver clear updates and insights
  • Develop timelines and work with internal team resources to execute against campaign plans
  • Build and maintain targeted media lists, conduct outreach, and secure earned media
  • Edit and review team-written content to uphold quality and alignment with strategy
  • Monitor hours and program progress to align with client goals and budgets
  • Research trends and client sectors to support proactive PR planning
  • Begin managing campaigns with greater independence and ownership over time

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism, English, marketing, or related fields
  • 2–5+ years of public relations experience, with a preference for B2B agency background
  • Strong writing and editing skills with a demonstrated ability to produce press-ready materials
  • Proven track record in media relations with measurable results
  • Experience juggling multiple client campaigns and meeting deadlines
  • Proficiency in AP Style and attention to grammar and structure
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with campaign planning and junior team oversight is a plus for more senior candidates
