POSITION SUMMARY The Account Executive actively promotes Office Images, develops business relationships, cultivates leads, and seamlessly transitions business connections into sales. Upon development of a sale, the Account Executive works closely with Project Management and Design to ensure smooth fulfillment, effortless communication among all involved parties both internal and external, and satisfied customers. 2. POSITION EXPECTATIONS Raises community awareness of the company in a strategically advantageous manner Personally represents the standards and ideals of the company brand in the community Interacts dynamically with businesses and individuals to promote and develop positive views of the company, its product lines, its services, and its capability Follows leads and develops contacts; networks throughout the community Engages actively in business development activities throughout the local community, attending a variety of events including those targeted at industry-relevant professionals Expands the company’s business opportunities and project securement Leads showroom tours and provides product demonstrations Creates and presents sales pitches within company guidelines Participates in the project bid creation and delivery process Develops and maintains familiarity with all sales tools, including case studies and project presentations Develops and maintains familiarity with product lines and company services Understands and communicates company advantages, including leading workspace solutions and servicing expertise, to promote effectively to clients Secures projects and supports the project manager, personally ensuring customer satisfaction by monitoring project progress at every stage; communicates and coordinates internally to ensure a seamless experience for the client Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with policies, procedures, and regulations Other duties as assigned 3. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications 4. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS Education, Certifications and /or Licenses: Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred Experience: 2 - 5 years’ wholesale sales experience preferred 2 years’ negotiation experience preferred Experience selling workspace furnishings preferred Experience with government-sector clients preferred Knowledge/Skills: Proficiency with PCs and basic computer software, including MS Office Suite Proficiency with basic business math skills Ability to interact with business representatives and negotiate contracts advantageously Ability to navigate complex sales intricacies and challenges Ability to deliver presentations effectively and professionally Ability to assess and manage available resources for successful project completion Ability to develop and maintain a working knowledge of industry-specifics (e.g., furniture lines, terminology, price points, etc.) Understanding of architecture and construction preferred Ability to develop and maintain skills in reading and understanding floor plans and technical drawings Understanding of contract furniture processes and standard project workflow preferred Understanding of workplace environment considerations (e.g., ergonomics, technology integration, etc.) preferred Ability to be present each workday in office and in the field, to interact with contacts and representatives in person on a regular basis, and to travel extensively as needed Excellent presentation, listening, verbal, and written communication skills Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team; willingness to roll up sleeves and help the team Ability to manage and organize time to meet objectives and deadlines Lives and leads by TSRC values and serves as an example of the best we want to see in our team Ability to interact professionally with customers, vendor partners, and fellow employees Motivation to learn, grow, self-direct, and be proactive Demonstrates honesty, integrity, conscientiousness, reliability, and responsiveness – cares about doing the right thing, not the easy thing Possesses a positive attitude and sense of humor Possesses an innovative mindset – demonstrates flexibility and problem-solving skills when met with challenges 5. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT This position primarily works in an indoor office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Worksites can be under construction and may not be climate-controlled at time of installation. This position is an outside sales position based at the company’s location in Washington, D.C. From hire through May 31, 2026, this position will be a hybrid position working some days per week at our Rockville location. On June 1, 2026 and onwards, the position will be a fully in-person position based in Washington, D.C. 7.
