We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join their Hayward, CA-based team. This is a high-priority, full-time opportunity. This role is not about cold calling or hunting new leads. Instead, it’s about deepening existing OEM partnerships, most notably with a high-profile EV manufacturer, through quoting, cost analysis, and value engineering. The position offers the stability of a long-standing Tier 1 supplier while still feeling the momentum and excitement of ongoing growth and investment.You’ll be based onsite at a 4-building campus that includes two manufacturing facilities, and you’ll be working closely with teams across sites in California, Texas, and Kentucky but with minimal travel. Our client is looking for someone who understands the demands of the automotive OEMS and can take ownership of commercial activities-especially around quoting, costing, and VAVE (value analysis/value engineering).

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • Proven experience in a Tier 1 automotive environment working directly with OEMs
  • Strong knowledge of quoting, costing, and value analysis/value engineering
  • Prior experience in Account Management, Program Management, or Engineering roles
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders in manufacturing, operations, and engineering
  • Highly analytical with attention to detail and commercial acumen
  • Must be located (or willing to relocate) within 25 miles of Hayward, CA
Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow strategic relationships with key automotive OEM clients
  • Serve as the commercial point of contact for quoting, costing, and pricing negotiations
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations to develop cost-effective solutions for client needs
  • Lead VAVE initiatives to ensure competitive pricing and maximize client value
  • Analyze cost breakdowns and prepare detailed quote packages for internal and external review
  • Monitor performance and commercial health of key accounts, identifying opportunities to improve margins or expand engagement
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate execution of client projects
