SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Account Management, Business Development Manager, or as a Territory Manager
  • Knowledge and experience in a trade/construction related industry (desired) coupled with excellent commercial knowledge and business acumen.
  • Your ability to work independently in developing new business and establishing profitable and mutually beneficial business relationships
  • Solid sales experience, including cold calling and new client generation.
  • Strong verbal and written business acumen with a strategic focus.
  • Delivering business presentations and demonstrations to a range of stakeholders.
Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE:

A rare opportunity has become available to join our business specifically representing the Avista brand. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of existing customers, whilst actively seeking new business opportunities, engaging and influencing multiple stakeholders.
The position will be based out of the Keilor Park; however, you will spend most of your time on the road visiting customer sites, covering a specific territory in Victoria. This role is ideal for a resilient and experienced sales professional—someone who thrives on challenge, stays motivated through setbacks, and brings high energy and a can-do attitude to every opportunity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Service an established portfolio of customers, whilst identifying new market opportunities within the concreting & flooring industry, as well as Tier 1,2 & 3 builders
  • Create demand and sales to meet sales targets and KPI’s by executing business strategies, focusing on solution-based selling in a manner that compliments sales effectiveness
  • Be relied upon as the “face” of the Avista brand to a wide range of stakeholders, including Dulux Trade stores, Inspirations Stores, Agents, Distributors, Applicators, Concreters, Builders, and a similar audience
  • Influence buying habits by promoting the use of Avista product and systems
  • Provide on-site technical assistance
  • Facilitate hands on training sessions as well as supporting a formal training offering
  • Attend trade shows and industry events to positively and proactively represent the Avista brand
